Health Insurance and Financial Policy
We are contracted with most insurance companies including Tricare, Monarch, Cal-Optima, and Mission Affiliated Healthcare Providers. For questions regarding billing or insurance matters, please contact our billing department at (949) 373-1310.
Our fees are compatible to other pediatric practices in the area. If you have insurance, you will need to pay co-payment, deductible and non-covered services as required by your plan at each visit. For your convenience, we accept cash, checks, money orders, Visa, MasterCard and debit cards. Payment plans require prior written agreement with the manager. Our billing department will process your insurance claims electronically.
In order to allocate appropriate time slots for each patient, we see patients by appointment only. In case of occasional emergency where a patient needs medical attention, delay in the schedule may be inevitable. A sincere attempt is made to adhere to the regular schedule.
If you cannot keep an appointment, we ask you to call to reschedule or cancel no later than 24 hours in advance as a courtesy to other patients.
A parent or legal guardian must accompany minor patients. This accompanying adult is responsible for payment of co-pay, deductible and non-covered services at the time of service, regardless of the relationship to the patient. In order to treat your adolescent child without your presence, written permission signed by a parent must be on file.
After Hours Care
If you need medical attention during weekends, holidays or evenings, please call our office. Our answering service will direct your call to Kids Doc which is our after hours facility.
Please contact your pharmacy and ask the pharmacist to fax TLC a request for refills. Your physician may prescribe medication as part of your child’s treatment. Please take the prescription to your pharmacist immediately to insure proper care. Triplicate prescriptions must be mailed to you or picked up. Please allow 48 hours from the day of your request.
For life threatening emergencies, call 911. For other calls to our office, please call our main telephone number. We will be glad to help you. If you leave a message, we will make every effort to return your call at the earliest convenience or schedule an appointment.
The doctor-patient relationship is a privileged one. For this reason we do not give out information about the patient to anyone except the parents or guardian. Your child’s record is a confidential matter. Release of information to anyone requires your written permission. Information will be made available to referring Physicians in regard to continuity of treatment.
